A meta build for open-world exploration is a priority consideration for those bold players who venture into the distant lands. For those seeking an effective build against gankers, significantly increasing their chances of returning to the city with their resources intact, the following configuration represents a valuable option. Additionally, its potential affordability makes it an excellent alternative for individuals with no prior experience in lethal PvP zones or for those who wish to gradually familiarize themselves with this combat style.
You can use the following build to familiarize yourself with the black zone in Albion; for those who already reside there, their encounters will be more favorable. The build consists of a Tier 4 Quarterstaff, Tier 4 Guardian Helmet, Tier 4 Assassin Jacket, Tier 4 Scholar Sandals, an Invisibility Potion, and a Tier 3 Riding Horse. For those with a bit more economy, it is recommended to bring a Undead Cape.
- Quarterstaff: A fairly simple weapon to use with a straightforward combo to apply and high DPS, the only downside is its energy consumption.
Skills & passive:
- Guardian Helmet: This helmet possesses the ability to remove any damage that deals damage over time, such as bleeding, curses, and burns. Additionally, it provides an extra shield, absorbing some of the damage you receive, which gives it tremendous utility since in the open world you will encounter many users with axes, curse staffs, and fire mages.
Skills & passive:
- Assassin Jacket: The Assassin Jacket possesses an ability that makes you invisible for 7 seconds within a limited area, making it useful in many situations, whether giving you the opportunity to escape or providing an advantage in a fight.
Skills & passive:
- Scholar Sandals: These sandals have a simple purpose, to grant you 45 energy over 5 seconds when activated. This is due to the high energy consumption you'll experience while undertaking your activities in the open world.
Skills & passive:
- Riding Horse: The cheapest mount you can get that will provide good speed.
- Invisibility Potion: The name itself indicates it: it's a potion that, when you drink it, makes you invisible for a few seconds, enough time to move away and remount your horse to flee if the situation becomes too difficult.
The combo is very simple; you only need to initiate with your E, which is a jump towards your enemy that will knock them into the air for almost 1 second. At that moment, you'll cast your W, which will be your primary DPS, and then use your Q and auto-attack until your E and W are ready again to repeat the same process. If you face an enemy that inflicts bleeding, curses, or burns, remember that your helmet can purge them, causing your enemy's DPS to decrease. You can use the Assassin Jacket both to avoid a fight you know you'll lose or to lose the focus of the monsters around you, consequently causing their focus to shift to your enemy.
This build is incredible for both solo open-world gameplay and arenas. If you want to try the arenas, you can swap certain pieces like the helmet and jacket for a more combat-oriented build that helps you withstand small-scale fights better. Is very fast for clearing camps, so if your goal is to farm fame, with this equipment you'll be taking down enemies very easily, which translates to more fame per hour.
Something that makes this build stand out would be its adaptability. You can use a Mercenary Jacket as well as a Bandit Jacket for more survivability, and also use other helmets like the Valor Helmet or the Fiend Cowl to purge enemy buffs. The Avalonian Cape is a safe option to replace the Undead Cape, as it increases your burst damage as well as reduces the damage you take for a few seconds.
The food you'll bring can be situational. You can bring Roasted Snapper to heal while you attack, as well as Beef Stew to increase your damage. If your goal is to kill monsters in the open world to farm fame, what I would most recommend is Cabbage Soup.
