In Dofus, traditional character classes chosen at creation set the foundation of a hero's journey. However, the power of Incarnations transcends these norms, introducing a captivating dynamic through magical weapons. When a character equips an Incarnation weapon, they undergo a profound transformation, both physically and in their spellcasting abilities. This metamorphosis replaces their entire spell set with those unique to the Incarnation, creating a completely new combat experience.
Unequipping the weapon reverts the character to their original form, restoring their initial appearance and abilities. Intriguingly, while in the Incarnation form, the character cannot earn personal experience points (XP). Instead, all earned XP is funneled into leveling the Incarnation itself. This means that characteristic and spell points for the character remain unchanged, as the Incarnation spells are fully accessible from the start.
Spell power grows collectively with the Incarnation’s level: for every 10 levels gained, the power of all spells increases by one, up to a maximum level of 6 at Incarnation level 50. This unique system offers strategic depth, allowing players to master both their base class and the powerful Incarnations they choose to wield, ensuring a diverse and dynamic gameplay experience.
Level System
Incarnations use the same level gap system as Guilds and Mounts. This means that the experience (XP) required to level up an Incarnation is based on the difference between the player's level and the Incarnation's level, rather than the level of the Incarnation weapon itself.
