Dragonflight Enchanting Guide

DRAGONFLIGHT ENCHANTING GUIDE

Enchanting will be responsible for disenchanting powdered items and shards and using them to create enchantments that improve equipment stats. They can also make wands, cosmetic items, and their own profession tool.

There are many new enchantments, including enchantments for Profession Tools, such as Enchant Tool - Draconic Inspiration . You will continue to make them into Enchanting Vitelum purchased from vendors to convert them into auctionable items.

Dragonflight introduces Crafting Specializations, which you can unlock once your profession skill reaches 25. They serve as a profession talent tree system fueled by Enchanting Knowledge, gained from weekly quests, unique treasures in Dragon Isles, Draconic Treatises, and first -Craft time.

While you'll eventually be able to unlock all of the talents, doing so will take a long time as the sources of knowledge are very limited, especially once the unique treasures and early crafts run out.

The best race to enchant in Dragonflight

If you're a Horde player, Blood Elf will grant you +5 skill points, while Alliance players can be Kul'Tiran for +2 skill points.

Creating user interface in Dragonflight

Dragonflight introduces some new concepts for professions, which can be seen in the Crafting UI screenshot noted below:

Most crafting reagents will now have detailed descriptions on how they can be obtained, such as their profession source;

Quality, represented by the number of diamonds in the upper left corner of most profession items, is a measure of the skill with which the item was crafted and its power. On crafting gear, this translates to additional item levels, while higher-quality crafting reagents add some skill to whatever trade they're used on;

First Crafting an item (as indicated in the UI) grants some Craftsman Resilience Icon Craftsman Resilience and a Profession Knowledge Point, as well as significant experience, making it worth crafting each item at least once;

Crafting Specializations, the second option on the bottom tabs, is a new system that allows you to spend profession knowledge points to gain various talent-like bonuses for your crafting skills;

Crafting Orders, the last option on the bottom tabs, allows you to manage your orders, a new system that allows you to craft equipment that requires binding gathering materials for other players, as long as they provide these materials. You can also recraft equipment to change your optional reagents and their quality.

Crafting stats for Enchanting in Dragonflight

Recipe difficulty represents the profession skill level required to craft the selected recipe with its highest quality potential. It starts with your basic profession skill, but can be upgraded with profession gear, specialization bonuses, the quality of materials used to craft, and other special items.

Crafting UI

The expected quality bar below the recipe stats gives an idea of the quality result of crafting the item under current conditions.

There are four new stats for the crafting professions, which can appear on your crafting gear:

Multicraft provides a baseline chance (increasable with talents) to create 1 to 2.5 times more items than the usual items a craft produces. A Multicraft proc on a ship that produces 2 items will grant an additional 1-5 items, for example. This stat is not used in any relevant Enchanting crafts.

Ingenuity provides an opportunity to use fewer interchangeable crafting reagents when crafting;

Inspiration provides a baseline chance (increasable by talents) to craft a recipe with additional skill (33% recipe difficulty for 3-level crafting, 16.7% for 5-level crafting) added;

Crafting Speed increases the speed of your crafting, allowing you to finish your crafts faster.

These stats, when activated, will appear in your Crafting Results panel, as shown below:

For Enchanting, you should focus on Inspiration and Ingenuity to enable great crafts at a cheaper price, although you can also go for Crafting Speed if you plan to mass-produce enchantments for auction.

Leveling Charm in Dragonflight

Increasing your skill in Dragonflight is done by crafting items that grant skill points as normal, but the profession's endgame is in finding enchanting knowledge and using it to unlock enchanting specializations.

Some crafts require a special binding in pickup reagents, such as Craftsman's Resilience Craftsman's Resilience or Spark of Wit's Spark of Wits. These reagents have a time limit on how they can be obtained, and therefore caution should be exercised about what you use them for, especially at first.

Craftsman's Resilience and Spark of Wit's Spark of Wits.

To be efficient, we recommend trying to get as many first crafting bonuses as possible when leveling Enchanting, but the specific items to aim for when leveling depends on your server's material costs and the current sale price of what you're creating.
