Grow a Garden: September 2025 Ascension Update

This article covers the September 2025 changes to Grow a Garden’s ascension system and Sheckle trading. It is a historical update summary, not an announcement of a new update today. Check the in-game menus for the requirements and prices that apply to your account now.

The September update removed the 10% Sheckle trading fee. This change concerned the in-game trading system; it was separate from the Sheckles spent when ascending.

The revised system deducted the required amount instead of clearing the player’s entire balance. The first ascension cost 1 trillion Sheckles, with subsequent costs increasing by 2 trillion: 1T, 3T, 5T and so on. Each successful ascension awarded 10 Garden Coins.

For example, a player with 4T Sheckles making their first ascension would spend 1T and retain 3T, assuming no other spending. Garden Coins are a separate reward currency used for upgrades.

The cooldown between ascensions was reduced from 24 hours to four hours. The update also broadened the eligible fruit requirements and reduced mutation requirements; some requested fruit could have no mutations.

Requirements were not identical for every player. Read the request shown by Orson, the Coin Keeper, before submitting fruit or spending Sheckles.

Ascension upgrades included additional capacity and garden save slots. Contemporary guides reported higher upgrade prices alongside the easier ascension system, while cosmetic fence prices were unchanged. Do not assume every shop item doubled in price. Check the displayed cost before buying.
