Tomorrow, an update is coming to Grow a Garden that will completely change the way we play, trade, and progress. The new trading system, a new currency, and the arrival of new pets will introduce new abilities. Below, I explain everything you need to know before the arrival of the new update, The Trader Arrives.

The New Trading System

This new system will evolve trading in a way never seen before in the game, bringing a huge number of new options, starting with a new currency that will be added. This currency will work the same way as Robux, acting as a premium in-game currency that you will use to obtain all kinds of items such as pets or plants.

Trades will take place in a plaza that you can access through a new portal. There, you will find many stalls where you can choose one to display the items you want to trade or sell.

The new system will also allow you to view your trade history, see other players’ inventories, check price charts of items, and set up a security PIN to confirm trades.

New Pets

As usual, with every update new pets arrive, each with unique abilities that might catch your interest.

Clam

This pet has a 7% chance for a watering can to not lose durability when used. Perfect for players since watering cans are among the most frequently used items in the game.

Magple

This bird has a 7% chance (up to 30%) to grant a reward when selling a silver mutation plant, although it is still unknown what type of rewards it might give.

Golden Piggy

Within a radius of 30 studs, it provides 0.16 experience to all pets for every gold ingot present in your garden. But where can you get these gold ingots? You’ll be able to find them in the crafting shop.

Silver Piggy

This is the alternative version of the Golden Piggy, and it increases plant growth speed within a radius of 20 studs, offering a bonus of 0.062% for every silver ingot in your garden.

Pack Mule

Provides a direct benefit of +0.1 to +0.21 kg of additional weight to any pet created through crafting.

Chimera Stone

One of the most important items of the update is the new crystal, which works similarly to the Halloween event crystal. Its function is to fuse the Lion, the Halloween Goat, and the Snake, creating the Chimera and granting it the abilities of all three combined.

There are also more pets coming, but their abilities have not yet been revealed, such as the Water Buffalo, Bearded Dragon, and Sheckling.
