Grow a Garden - Pets Top Tier

Grow a Garden keeps expanding with every update, and one of the players’ favorite mechanics is pets. These creatures accompany players while providing unique abilities that can completely transform their garden and overall strategies. In this blog, we’ll take a look at some of the rarest, most powerful, and most sought-after pets, analyzing their stats, abilities, and rarity so you’ll know which ones are truly worth it.

Dragonfly

Dragonfly

The Dragonfly was the first divine pet released during the Animal Update, and it definitely made a strong entrance. It can hatch from the Insect Egg with only a 1% probability, which means that on average, you’ll need to open about 100 eggs to theoretically obtain it.

Its ability is truly impressive, as every 5 minutes it transforms a random fruit in your garden into gold with a x20 multiplier. This means the fruit’s value increases 20 times its original worth.

The Dragonfly is considered the hungriest pet in the entire game, with 100,000 hunger points. Feeding it will be a constant challenge, but the rewards it provides are more than worth the effort.

Disco Bee

Disco Bee

The Disco Bee was introduced in the Friendship Update and quickly became a player favorite. At first glance, it looks like a normal bee but with a more festive style. However, obtaining it is extremely difficult: its hatch rate is only 0.25% from the Anti-Bee Egg, meaning just 1 in 400 attempts.

What makes it so special? Its unique ability. Every 15 minutes, the Disco Bee has a 16% chance to apply the Disco Mutation to nearby fruits. This mutation multiplies the fruit’s value by 125 times, making it the best pet when it comes to applying mutations.

Another advantage is that it only requires 25,000 hunger points, making it much easier to maintain compared to the Dragonfly.

T-Rex

T-Rex

The T-Rex is another unforgettable divine pet, released during the Prehistoric Event. With a hatch rate of only 0.5% from the Dino Egg, its rarity is quite high, but those who managed to obtain it know it’s worth every attempt.

This dinosaur has 60,000 hunger points and a powerful ability: every 20 minutes it devours a mutation from one fruit in your garden and then roars, applying that same mutation to four additional fruits.

That said, it does have some limitations it cannot devour golden or rainbow mutations, nor can it affect favored fruits. Even so, it sometimes applies the same mutation two or three times to a single fruit, creating astonishing multipliers.

Praying Mantis

Praying Mantis

The Praying Mantis belongs to the mythical tier and is considered the second rarest pet from the Insect Egg, with a hatch rate of 4%. Its hunger level is 55,000 points, placing it somewhere in the middle compared to divine pets.

Its ability is quite unique: every 80 seconds it enters a 10-second prayer phase. During this time, it increases by 1.5 times the probability that fruits within a radius of 10 stats will receive variant mutations.

The downside is that the Mantis does not affect plants that have already fully grown, which limits its potential somewhat.

Raccoon

Raccoon

The Raccoon is one of those pets that captures hearts at first sight, and it’s often considered the most popular pet in the game. It belongs to the divine tier and has 45,000 hunger points. Its ability is quite special: every 15 minutes it visits the plot of a random player, steals a mutated fruit, and brings you back an exact copy of it, mutations included.

This means that if your neighbor has valuable fruits, you can directly benefit from them. However, here comes the sad part: the Raccoon is practically unobtainable. Its appearance rate used to range from 0.1% to 1% from the Night Egg, but it is currently no longer available in the game.

Mole

Mole

The Mole is a legendary pet added during the Lunar Glow Event. It can be obtained from the Night Egg with a 23.5% chance, making it much more accessible than the other pets on this list.

It is known as a resource pet, since it specializes in digging underground and bringing back different types of equipment every 80 seconds. Among the items it can find are sprinklers, sheckels, and other valuable objects.

Although it doesn’t have a mutation ability like some of the others, its usefulness lies in consistently reinforcing your resources, ensuring you never run out of tools for your garden.

Mimic Octopus

Mimic Octopus

We close the list with the Mimic Octopus, a mythical pet that stands out for its rarity and peculiar design. It can be obtained from the Paradise Egg with a 1% chance.

The most striking thing about this octopus is that it has no hunger points. Does this mean it’s immortal? No one knows for sure, but it’s undoubtedly an incredible advantage for the player.

Its ability is just as impressive: every 20 minutes it copies the ability of a random pet in your garden and applies it until the cycle resets. This makes it one of the most versatile pets in the game, capable of adapting to any strategy depending on the pets around it.

Note: despite being an octopus, it only has six tentacles instead of eight.
