Grow a Garden - Safari Event Nerf Part 2

Grow a Garden - Safari Event Nerf Part 2

The Safari Part Two event in Grow a Garden has undoubtedly been one of the most talked-about topics within the community in recent weeks. What began as a challenging and exciting event ended up becoming one of the most criticized experiences by players due to the excessive difficulty of the community goals. However, after several days of complaints and feedback, the development team listened to the community and applied a significant nerf to the number of points required for the community to reach in order to unlock the more difficult rewards.

An Event That Started Strong

An Event That Started Strong

When the first part of the Safari event was released, the community was excited. Players managed to complete the first milestones in record time, reaching the goals of part one in just a day and a half. However, this speed ended up working against everyone, as the developers decided to significantly increase the difficulty in the second part.

The result was a set of goals that were almost impossible to achieve. Players had to donate fruits constantly to accumulate community points and progress through the milestones. In this type of global event, the entire community must work together to reach massive numbers that unlock exclusive rewards, such as new pets or rare items.

In this case, the milestones in part two required figures as high as 300 to 320 billion points, which caused many players to start feeling frustrated. Progress became extremely slow, the initial excitement faded, and numerous players chose to temporarily leave the game.

New Adjustments

New Adjustments

In response to the criticism, the team reacted with a small update released on November 8. In the patch notes, several fixes and changes were mentioned that aimed to address some of the issues found in the Safari event.

Among the most notable points were:

- Fixed bugs related to the Safari Tour weather.

- Made it easier to obtain higher-tier rewards from Joe.

- Reduced the garden coin prices for the new pet inventory slot upgrades in the Ascension Shop.

Finally, just a few hours ago, the update everyone was waiting for arrived a major patch that massively nerfed the difficulty of Safari Event Part Two.

This update, released around November 11, introduced a series of much more significant adjustments. The main message of the patch clearly stated:

“After some of your feedback, we’ve decided to reduce the number of points required for the new community milestone goals.”

The milestones, which previously seemed impossible, were lowered considerably. For example, the goal to unlock the Lion, one of the new pets, went from requiring 320 million to much more attainable figures.

In addition to this crucial change, the update also included:

- Fixed an issue where egg notifications were sometimes not visible.

- Resolved bugs in the cosmetics shop that prevented it from loading correctly.

- Enabled seed plant animations for all rarity levels.

- And several other minor fixes.

The real key point was the milestone adjustment, which completely changed the dynamic of the event.

The New Milestones

The New Milestones

After the nerf, the milestone values became much more balanced. Where previously the required numbers were absurd, the goals are now achievable even for medium-sized communities.

For example, new figures such as 212, 216, 218, 222, and 236 billion can now be seen, instead of the more than 320 billion that were previously needed to unlock the Lion.
