OSRS - Max your Thieving from 50 to 99 (AFK)
The Varlamore update has introduced a method that redefines efficiency and comfort in this skill. Forget those intensive training methods like Blackjacking or stealing from the Knights of Ardougne, because now you can steal valuables in Civitas illa Fortis safely and relaxedly.
This new method is not only incredibly AFK, but you're also protected from dying from any oversight, allowing you to do any other activity while leveling up your Thieving skill. While you fill your pockets with gold, you'll also accumulate blessed bone statuettes that will help you level up Prayer, a double benefit! And as if that weren't enough, this method lengthens the lifespan of your trusty mouse, reducing wear and tear from excessive clicks.
To be able to carry out this method, you'll need to reach level 50 in Thieving and complete the Children of the Sun quest. Once these requirements are met, you can obtain house keys and plunder the hidden treasures in the residences of the wealthy citizens of Civitas illa Fortis.
Plugin
Before you begin, install the "House Thieving Varlamore" plugin, which will be of great help in the method we'll be carrying out. This plugin will mark the NPCs you need to steal the keys from, the time you'll have while the child Leo distracts the NPCs, the houses that are empty, when the homeowners are returning, and the exit from the houses where you'll have to flee. In short, it's a marvel.
Overview
This Thieving method is divided into two phases. First, you must steal house keys, and second, access the homes of the wealthy citizens of Civitas illa Fortis with the stolen keys. You can also obtain these keys by fishing at the fishing spot in the park east of Fortis.
Note: You won't need a Dodgy necklace or Ardougne cloak since in this method the thieving success rate is 100%.
House Keys
The place where we'll steal these keys is in the center of Fortis city. We'll steal them from the wealthy citizens found in the bazaar when a child named Leo catches their attention and distracts them. Leo, along with other children, will distract the rich residents for 24 seconds, during which you can steal from them without interruptions. Each successful theft will reward you with a bag of gold and the possibility of obtaining a house key.
My advice is to focus on Leo, who is in the center of the bazaar, and have the rogue's outfit equipped to double the number of keys you can obtain per hour. And spend several hours or perhaps days accumulating the house keys, as they can be stored in the bank without losing them.
Burgling Houses
With your house keys in hand, however many you deem sufficient, whether it's 10, 100, or 1000 the important thing is to have them it's time to venture into the residences of the wealthy citizens of Civitas illa Fortis. For this, the plugin I recommended will indicate which of the 3 houses is empty and available for robbing. These houses are clearly marked on your minimap with the Thieving symbol.
Once inside, there will be chests, wardrobes, and jewelry boxes that you can search to steal valuable items. And best of all, they're stackable! You can loot each item for 50-60 seconds without needing additional intervention. This timer resets when you switch to another item.
Occasionally, one of these items will have an arrow marked above it. It's your cue to loot it! You'll gain 630 Thieving experience and 14 valuable items in one fell swoop, so don't miss those moments.
Additionally, you'll have about 2 minutes before the homeowner returns. At that moment, you must exit through the open window. Otherwise, the homeowner will see you and expel you from their house, causing you to lose about 90% of the valuable items stolen from that house.
Rewards & Experience
Once you've finished robbing the houses, any valuable items you've obtained can be sold to Oriana, a mysterious NPC located next to the Fortis bank. Apart from the valuable items, you'll obtain all kinds of necklaces and blessed bone statuettes, which can be broken down into blessed bone shards that are used in Prayer training. And finally, the experience rates for this training method are: stealing only house keys, 50k Exp/Hr, and robbing houses, between 80k GP to 100k Exp/Hr.
