OSRS - Royal Titans Boss Guide

A new threat looms over the world of Old School RuneScape. The latest game update has introduced the fearsome Royal Titans, a challenge designed to test the coordination and skill of player duos. However, not everyone has an adventure partner to experience the game's content with. For those lone wolves who prefer to forge their own path, this guide is their ticket to the heart of the battle. Although the Royal Titans were conceived as a duo encounter, no obstacle is insurmountable for the astute player.

Required Stats

To fight the Royal Titans, I recommend entering with at least 75 combat stats or higher, 59 Magic, and a minimum of 43 Prayer. Only bring your best melee and ranged combat gear, so as not to waste resources on the bosses' additional enemies.

Gear

You can change the gear and use the equipment you have best; I'm just giving an example of the gear needed for this boss here. Just remember to bring equipment that gives you a prayer bonus and doesn't give you negative stats in either melee or ranged.

- Weapon: Abyssal Whip / Dragon Crossbow no matter what weapons you carry, always try to use the best one you have on hand for both melee and range.

- Off-hand: Dragon Defender due to its great attack contribution in melee and its minimal impact on the range style, it is undoubtedly the best option.

- Helm: Neitiznot I use it as a helmet because of its prayer bonus and because it does not negatively affect melee or range statistics.

- Back: Ava’s Assembler or Ava's accumulator either one is a viable option.

- Top: Karil’s Leathertop it's the best option because of its ranged stats without affecting melee stats.

- Bottom: Karil’s Leatherskirt it's the best option because of its ranged stats without affecting melee stats.

- Gloves: Barrows Gloves I place them for their contribution in melee statistics and range

- Boots: Dragon Boots since most of the combat will use melee, any melee boots will always be the best

- Ring: Berserker Ring (i) Its increase in maximum hit will make your try faster

- Amulet: Amulet of fury this amulet will always be a great option because it provides statistics for all combat styles

Inventory

Note: Remember to bring the runes to be able to cast at least the Fire Blast and Water Blast spells; any spell lower than this will not work.

Where Are the Royal Titans Located?

The Royal Titans await in the depths of the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon, south of Falador. The path to these ice colossi demands cunning and speed. To expedite your journey, consider using a fairy ring and teleporting to Mudskipper Point (AIQ). From there, ascend the hill to the north, and you'll be at the dungeon's gates.

Once inside, head west, where ice giants guard the access to the Titans. There, you'll find an agility shortcut near the entrance ladder. Dexterity is key; the agility level required for this shortcut is 60. This shortcut will save you valuable time on your way to the encounter with the Titans.

Strategy

First Phase

First Phase

The first phase of this battle tests your versatility and knowledge of elemental weaknesses. Upon entering, Branda (fire) and Eldric (ice) will patrol their respective sides, initially invulnerable to your attacks unless you have ranged gear.

Keep Protect from Melee active throughout the entire fight, as the Titans will deal melee damage. While they move, they will create elemental lines on the ground. This is where your magic comes into play: icicles yield to fire spells, and flames are extinguished with water. Aim for the penultimate segments before the edges, as the impacts clear adjacent areas, clearing the path.

At random moments, the giants will challenge you with phrases like "You can't escape me!" or "Feel my strength!", approaching to attack you in melee. With Protect from Melee activated, you will be safe from their area attacks. Take this opportunity to attack them with melee until they retreat, at which point you should switch to your ranged gear, if you have it.

After a melee encounter, the Titans will summon elemental minions. Remember the fundamental rule: fire beats ice, and water beats fire. Use your spells and attack the central minion in each group, or wait for them to group up to maximize the effect of your spells.

Your elemental spells become area attacks against the minions, allowing you to eliminate them with a single hit if they are grouped. Wave spells are ideal, while Blast spells are the minimum you can use. If the minions are not eliminated, they will detonate, dealing considerable damage.

The key to this phase lies in rapid adaptation and the strategic use of your elemental abilities. Stay alert to the Titans' attack patterns, adjust your gear as needed, and eliminate the minions efficiently.

Second Phase

Second Phase

Upon reaching a health threshold, around 200 hitpoints, both Titans will teleport to opposite ends of the battlefield. This change marks the beginning of a new dynamic: they are now constantly vulnerable to melee attacks, and the icicle and fire mechanics on the ground cease.

The main novelty of this phase is the charging of an area attack. When this happens, a fire and ice Yin-Yang symbol will appear on the ground, accompanied by a timer. You must position yourself on this symbol and remain there until the attack begins and ends. If you are outside the symbol during the attack, you will suffer considerable damage. While waiting, take the opportunity to switch to ranged gear and continue attacking one of the Titans.

This phase focuses on managing the area attack and continuously eliminating minions. The key lies in rapid adaptation and strategic positioning.

Upon defeating one of the Royal Titans, the survivor will grow stronger. From this point on, they can deal damage even with Protect from Melee activated. However, keep this protection active at all times. Residual damage may require the consumption of food, but if you maintain prayer and eliminate the minions, the danger will be minimal.

Once both Titans fall, the battle will have concluded. You will be able to loot one of them (not both).
