Top Picks of Patch 25.11

We're back with a new blog packed with key information to keep you up to date on the strongest champions and best picks in Patch 25.11. In this version, Riot Games has shaken up the Rift with a series of significant changes that go beyond the usual buffs and nerfs. This time, several champions have received mini reworks that directly alter their ability kits, changing their playstyles and the impact they can have in each game.

If you want to stay competitive, climb the ranked ladder, or simply try out new strategies, this summary will give you the tools you need to quickly adapt to the current meta.

Top Lane

Top Lane

We begin our journey through the new top lane meta with a solid lineup of champions currently dominating the Rift: Sett, Kayle, Malphite, Yorick, Shen, Urgot, Renekton, and Dr. Mundo. But if there’s one champion that stands out above the rest, it’s Sett.

Sett remains firmly at the top as the undisputed king of the top lane in Patch 25.11. His ability to absorb massive amounts of damage while dishing out brutal AoE damage makes him a constant threat. Thanks to his ultimate, he can initiate fights, isolate key targets, and quickly eliminate the enemy team’s carries. He currently has very few effective counters and is a safe pick regardless of elo.

Another champion who has gained significant prominence in recent weeks is Shen, especially in high-elo games. Shen combines global presence with a strong laning phase, thanks to his ultimate which allows him to support his team from anywhere on the map. He also deals enough damage to remain competitive in lane, can push efficiently, and becomes nearly unkillable in the late game.

Both champions are powerful options for players seeking reliability, utility, and high-impact potential in every stage of the game.

Jungle

Now we move on to the jungle, where the current landscape is both diverse and competitive. The champions currently setting the pace in this role are Warwick, Nocturne, Briar, Xin Zhao, Jarvan IV, Volibear, Amumu, and Kha’Zix. And among them all, the undisputed king of Patch 25.11 is Warwick.

While there’s a wide variety of solid options in the current meta like Jarvan, Volibear, or Nocturne, who all boast strong overall stats Warwick stands out above the rest thanks to his consistency across all elos. Whether you’re in Bronze or Master, the numbers don’t lie: Warwick is dominating the Rift regardless of the opponent.

His mobility allows him to reach objectives or execute quick ganks with ease, helping him scale effectively from the early game. Add in his ultimate, strong durability, and crowd control, and you get a perfect champion for initiating fights and deleting enemy carries within seconds. On top of that, he’s excellent at securing solo dragons while the team distracts the enemy.

If Warwick is banned or already picked, Volibear and Nocturne are great alternatives. Volibear offers tankiness and crowd control, while Nocturne trades some durability for higher mobility and global pressure. Amumu remains an incredibly effective pick in lower elos due to his ease of use and value in teamfights.

Briar continues to be a strong option across all ranks, but the real surprise returning to the meta is Kha’Zix. His stats have been steadily improving over recent weeks, and he’s finally reached a point where not only is he viable, but he also deserves to be considered for bans in high-level games.

Mid Lane

Mid Lane

It’s time to take a look at the mid lane, where the meta offers a variety of strong and impactful picks. The most notable champions in this patch are Diana, Annie, Ekko, Xerath, Malzahar, Lux, Vex, and Veigar. And without a doubt, the standout pick of Patch 25.11 is Diana.

While there weren’t major nerfs to the mid lane in this update, several key adjustments were made that have impacted the role. Diana, for example, received a buff aimed at increasing her damage against monsters. Although this change is intended to enhance her jungle performance, it also benefits her laning phase indirectly. Diana currently stands out as one of the best AP assassins and a strong counter to the current meta.

Xerath is also shining, remaining one of the strongest poke mages with excellent stats, making him a great option for climbing solo queue. Annie, on the other hand, received a tweak to her base armor higher at early levels but with a reduced scaling and a slight nerf to her W, which subtly affects her durability throughout the game.

If you're looking for more control-oriented champions, Malzahar, Lux, and Veigar continue to be effective choices, especially in lower elos.

ADC

ADC

We’ve arrived at the bot lane, where the strongest ADCs in Patch 25.11 are Jinx, Tristana, Sivir, Miss Fortune, Smolder, Vayne, Twitch, and Lucian. And without a doubt, the most powerful pick in this role for the patch is Jinx.

Currently, Jinx is one of the most consistent ADCs with some of the best stats globally. Her greatest strength lies in her excellent synergy with nearly any type of support—especially with the rise of enchanter supports in the current meta which allows her to scale quickly and take over games in the mid to late stages. Her passive also grants her tremendous mobility after each kill or assist, making it easier to kite and dodge damage in teamfights.

This patch brought several significant nerfs to the bot lane, specifically targeting Lucian and Smolder. While both remain viable, their overall stats have begun to drop. In their place, Miss Fortune and Tristana emerge as high-impact picks, perfect for any elo due to their ability to deal both sustained and burst damage with ease.

Meanwhile, Twitch and Sivir received buffs which, although not massive, will keep them relevant and likely to rise in strength as the patch progresses. Vayne also continues to be a lethal threat, especially in the hands of skilled players who can maximize her scaling and mobility.

Support

Support

We wrap up our Patch 25.11 analysis with the support role, where the strongest meta picks are Nami, Lulu, Soraka, Milio, Braum, Leona, Thresh, and Morgana. And without a doubt, the strongest pick right now is Nami.

Nami continues to be one of the best options for climbing solo queue. She’s an extremely well-rounded champion, offering crowd control, healing, shields, and strong damage. Her synergy with the current meta ADCs is excellent, and she provides consistent utility from early to late game, making her a very solid choice.

Although there were no direct changes to supports in this patch, there were shifts in overall performance that brought Leona and Morgana back into the spotlight. Leona, along with Braum and Thresh, is a great tanky option for players who prefer direct initiation. Morgana, thanks to her recent buffs, remains a strong and aggressive pick, with solid scaling and excellent potential as a secondary carry in the bot lane due to her high CC and sustained damage.
