WoW Cataclysm - Chimaeron Boss Guide

The Chimaeron, an abomination of nature, emerges from the shadows with its terrifying presence. Its grotesque appearance is an amalgamation of deformed creatures, with uneven scales, sharp fangs, and eyes that glint with indescribable malice. It is a being that embodies evil in its purest form, spreading fear and destruction in its wake.

There is no room for mercy before such monstrosity. The Chimaeron knows no compassion, and its existence is a threat to all that is good and just. The only possible response to its presence is to act with determination and strength.

Killing the Chimaeron is not just a necessity; it is a duty. With every strike, with every wound inflicted, one steps closer to eradicating its wickedness. Courage and resolve are the most powerful weapons against this infernal beast. It is a confrontation where humanity must prevail, where light must triumph over darkness.

The fate of the Chimaeron is sealed. No matter how fierce its resistance, justice must prevail. Only when the last breath escapes its deformed body can the world breathe a sigh of relief, free from its terrifying influence.

Chimaeron Abilities

Pip Quickwit: Pip Quickwit, the extraordinary gnome explorer, has been captured by Nefarian and cannot be freed from his cage until Chimaeron is slain. Players can talk to Pip before the fight begins to convince him to activate his Bile-O-Tron, which aids in keeping the raid alive. However, activating the Bile-O-Tron also wakes Chimaeron.

Bile-O-Tron: When Pip activates the Bile-O-Tron, it moves about the room and sprays raid members with Pip's Mixture as long as it remains active. Chimaeron periodically knocks the Bile-O-Tron offline.

 Pip's Mixture: The Bile-O-Tron sprays Pip's Mixture on the raid while online. Pip's Mixture prevents players whose health is above 10,000 from dropping below 1 health.

Stage One

Chimaeron attacks his current target with Break and Double Attack, while continually spraying Caustic Slime at the raid. He periodically casts Massacre on the raid, and his heads sometimes Feud following a Massacre.

1.  Caustic Slime: Chimaeron lobs Caustic Slime at two random players. Each Caustic Slime inflicts 235,200 Nature damage, divided evenly among all players within 0 yards of the target. Caustic Slime also reduces the chance to hit by 75% for 2 seconds. In 25-player raids, Chimaeron lobs Caustic Slime at five random players.

2.  Massacre: Chimaeron hits all players for massive damage, likely killing anyone not under the effects of Pip's Mixture. Massacre sometimes knocks the Bile-O-Tron offline for a short period of time.

3.  Feud: Whenever Chimaeron knocks the Bile-O-Tron offline, his two heads begin to argue with each other, preventing Chimaeron from performing melee attacks for 30 seconds. In Heroic Difficulty, Lord Victor Nefarius orders Chimaeron to stop his bickering, ending Feud after only 2 seconds.

4.  Break: Chimaeron attacks viciously, breaking through his target's defenses and increasing their Physical damage taken by 25% and reducing healing done by 15% for 1 minute. This effect stacks.

5.  Double Attack: Chimaeron strikes twice with his next attack.

Stage Two

At 20% health, Chimaeron goes into a rage, rendering him immune to Taunt effects and greatly decreasing healing done by players.

1.  Mortality: Chimaeron goes into a rage, rendering him immune to Taunt effects. Additionally, he reduces healing effects done to players by 99%.

2.  Double Attack: Chimaeron strikes twice with his next attack.
