The Crazy Archaeologist is a mid-level Wilderness boss located west of the Demi-boss Ruins in level 22 Wilderness. He is one of the three wilderness demi-bosses and is known for his signature "Rain of Knowledge" special attack, which deals area-of-effect damage. His valuable drops include the Odium shard 2 and Malediction shard 2, used to complete the powerful Odium and Malediction wards.

While not mechanically complex, his Wilderness location and multi-combat zone add the constant risk of PKer interference, requiring caution and preparation.

Requirements

– Access to level 22 Wilderness near the Ruins.
– Combat stats: 80+ Ranged or Magic, 85+ Hitpoints, Protect from Missiles unlocked.
– Inventory must include food, restores, stamina potions, and a teleport method.
– Gear suitable for avoiding damage from ranged attacks and handling his special AoE mechanic.
– Wilderness-appropriate setup with low risk.
– No active offenses or account restrictions.
– Bank access must be enabled if resupplying is needed.
– Player must not log out or interfere during the service.
