The King Black Dragon is one of the oldest bosses in Old School RuneScape, residing deep in the Wilderness lair at level 38. KBD is a three-headed dragon that uses dragonfire of multiple types, including standard, poison, shock, and ice. He is a popular target for pet hunters and those farming the Dragon pickaxe, Dragon med helm, and KBD heads for the ornate slayer helmet upgrade.

Though the boss itself is relatively straightforward, the Wilderness location and potential player-killer (PKer) risk add a layer of danger to each trip.

Requirements

– Access to the King Black Dragon lair via Wilderness lever or Burning amulet.
– Combat stats: 80+ Ranged or Melee, 85+ Hitpoints, Protect from Melee unlocked.
– Antifire protection: shield (e.g., DFS or anti-dragon) and/or extended antifire potions.
– Inventory must include antipoison, extended antifire, food, restores, and a teleport method.
– Wilderness-appropriate gear with risk-controlled setup.
– No pending offenses or account restrictions.
– Bank access must be enabled if supplies need to be restocked.
– Player must not log out or interfere during the service.
