To the surprise of many GAG2 players, the new Clan Event turned out to be completely different from what had been leaked over the past few days. Most us expected another competition focused on growing massive plants and competing based on their weight, similar to the previous event.
However, the developers decided to shake things up and completely change the rules. This time, everything revolves around one thing: the amount of money you generate by selling your plants.
Because of this, many players immediately assumed the event would be heavily pay-to-win. In reality, that's not entirely the case. If you understand how to take advantage of the game's mechanics, coordinate effectively with your clan, and follow a few strategies, you still have a real chance of competing for the top spots on the leaderboard.

How Does the New Clan Event Work?

As mentioned earlier, this New Clan Event is entirely focused on the money generated from selling your plants. But what exactly does that mean?
Instead of tracking the total value of everything you sell, the system will only count your highest-value sale. In other words, the most expensive plant you've ever sold during the event will be used to determine your ranking on the leaderboard and contribute points to your clan.
Right now, the players sitting at the top of the rankings are posting absolutely insane numbers, with some single sales exceeding 32 Billion Coins.
That raises an important question: what kind of plant could possibly be worth that much, and more importantly, what mutations did it have to reach such a ridiculous value?

Why Dragon Fruit and Ghost Pepper Aren't the Best Options

When the update first launched, most players immediately started chasing Dragon Fruits and Ghost Peppers. After all, they're some of the rarest crops in the game and can generate a lot of money.
However, after taking a closer look at the price board from the plant buyer, something very interesting becomes clear: Mushrooms are currently the most profitable crop in the entire game.
Dragon Fruit has a base value of around 3,000, while Ghost Pepper sits at roughly 2,500. Mushrooms, on the other hand, have an incredible base value of 13,000.
That's a massive difference.
Even though Dragon Fruits and Ghost Peppers can grow to enormous sizes, they still fall far behind the raw value that a Mushroom starts with. The gap is simply too large to ignore.
So, does that make Mushrooms the best money-making plant in Grow a Garden 2 right now?
Personally, I'd say yes.
The Strategy to Climb the Leaderboard Fast
Like most players in GAG 2, everyone wants to get their hands on the rarest and most exclusive pets in the game. And to do that, you’ll need to take the Clan Wars seriously. That’s why the first step is simple: reorganize your garden completely.
Start by removing all low-value plants from your setup. This not only frees up space for your mushrooms but also prevents mutations from landing on weaker crops instead of your main ones.
Best Mutations in Grow a Garden 2

Now for the most important part of the whole strategy: getting the best mutations on your plants. There are three standout mutations in the game that offer the highest multipliers right now:
| Mutation | Multiplier | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Aurora | x40 | 1% |
| Starstruck | x50 | 1% |
| Bloodlit | x60 | 1% |
Each of these can appear during weather events or specific night cycles in the game.
And here’s the key point most players overlook: if you really want this strategy to work, you’ll need to leave your character AFK overnight and even during the day. With a bit of luck (or a lot of it), these mutations can land on your biggest mushrooms, turning them into massive money generators.
The New Pet: “The Turtle”

Just a few hours ago, a brand-new pet was added to GAG2: The Turtle.
It has a very friendly design and a spawn chance of 3.75%, making it somewhat rare but still obtainable if you play enough.
The special ability of this pet is actually pretty useful it increases your backpack storage space. Because of that, it basically turns into a perfect pet for an alt account, where you can store all your extra seeds and pets that don’t fit in your main character.
