Grow a Garden 2 New Secret Seed: How to Get Eclipse Bloom

Grow a Garden 2 New Secret Seed: How to Get Eclipse Bloom

As Jandel promised, updates in Grow a Garden 2 are no longer announced ahead of time. Instead, they can drop into the game without warning on any given day, keeping players constantly on the lookout for new content.

Just two days ago, the game received two brand-new seeds and a powerful new pet, and they're already changing the meta. Even more exciting, one of those seeds is the very first to belong to the Secret rarity, instantly making it the most sought-after plant in the game.

In this guide, we'll break down everything you need to know about the new update, explain why these additions are so powerful, and show you exactly how to unlock the new Secret seed.

The New Seeds Added in the Latest Update

This update introduced three major additions to Grow a Garden 2:

Each of these new plants serves a completely different purpose, giving players more ways than ever to increase the value of their gardens.

Star Fruit

Star Fruit

Star Fruit is easily one of the biggest highlights of this update. It's already shaping up to be one of the best plants in the game thanks to its ability to grant what is currently the strongest mutation available.

As a Super rarity seed, it costs approximately 315 million coins, making it expensive but well worth the investment.

Its real strength isn't the fruit itself it's the unique passive ability. During the night, Star Fruit can fire beams of starlight at nearby players while also giving nearby crops a chance to receive the new Glow Mutation.

Glow Mutation

The Glow Mutation is now the strongest mutation in Grow a Garden 2, outperforming every other mutation currently available.

While Star Fruit's harvest isn't particularly valuable on its own, the chance to apply a x100 multiplier completely changes its potential. A single Glow mutation can turn an ordinary harvest into one of the most profitable crops in the game.

Mutation Multiplier
Ignited x60
Eclipse x80
Glow x100

With a multiplier this high, it's easy to see why Star Fruit has instantly become one of the most valuable and desirable seeds in the entire game.

Sun Bloom

Sun Bloom

Sun Bloom is another Super rarity seed introduced in this update, with an approximate shop price of 110 million coins.

On its own, the plant isn't particularly impressive and doesn't offer any unique passive abilities. However, that doesn't mean it's not worth getting.

The real reason every player should try to obtain a Sun Bloom is because it's one of the two required plants needed to craft the game's first-ever Secret seed.

Eclipse Bloom

Eclipse Bloom

Eclipse Bloom is the first plant to be classified under the Secret rarity, making it one of the rarest additions ever released in Grow a Garden 2.

Unlike every other seed in the game, it can't be purchased or found through normal gameplay. Instead, you'll need to create it yourself through a special fusion mechanic.

Its unique ability is incredibly powerful. Every time you harvest an Eclipse Bloom, it has the chance to trigger the Eclipse Mutation, making it one of the best plants for increasing the value of your crops.

How to Get Eclipse Bloom

How to Get Eclipse Bloom

To unlock Eclipse Bloom, you'll need the following fully grown plants:

  • Sun Bloom
  • Moon Bloom

Once both plants have reached full maturity, use a Trowel to place them directly next to each other.

When they're positioned side by side, a new Merge option will appear as you approach them. Select it to fuse both plants together.

Merge

After confirming the merge:

  • Sun Bloom disappears.
  • Moon Bloom disappears.
  • A brand-new Eclipse Bloom begins growing in their place.

Note: This fusion only works if both plants are growing directly in your garden. If either Sun Bloom or Moon Bloom is planted inside a pot, the Merge option will not appear.

The New Pet: Firefly

The New Pet: Firefly

Alongside the new seeds, this update also introduced a brand-new Mythic pet: the Firefly.

It costs approximately 3 billion coins, making it one of the most expensive pets currently available in Grow a Garden 2.

At first glance, its description doesn't seem particularly impressive. It simply states that the Firefly flies around your garden, helping newly planted crops grow faster.

However, that's not what makes this pet so powerful.

Firefly Ability

While equipped, the Firefly passively increases the size of every plant in your garden.

Each Firefly you equip grants:

  • +2% Plant Size

This bonus stacks up to a maximum of 50%, and the rarer variants provide even larger bonuses.

Firefly Variants

  • Giant Firefly
  • Huge Firefly
  • Rainbow Firefly

For example, a Giant Rainbow Firefly provides a significantly higher size bonus than the standard version, making giant crops appear much more frequently.

When combined with Sprinklers, the results become even more impressive. Larger plants mean more valuable harvests, making the Firefly one of the strongest pets introduced in the game so far.
