In the early days of Aberrus, Neltharion, later known as Deathwing, embarked on a series of dark experiments that would lay the groundwork for his future transformations. Among these early endeavors, he dabbled with elementium plating, a metal of immense strength and mysterious properties. Though he would not utilize this powerful material for himself until much later, his initial trials were far from fruitless.
Neltharion's experiments with elementium eventually led to the creation of Kazzara, a creature forged from a harrowing blend of elementium and shadowflame. The result was both magnificent and horrifying a being of formidable power but plagued by profound instability. Kazzara’s existence was marked by unrelenting agony, her elementium plates causing excruciating pain that drove her to madness.
Deemed far too unstable for release, Kazzara was relegated to a grim fate. Rather than being destroyed, she was consigned to serve as the guardian of the Shadowed Crucible, a dark and dangerous place within Aberrus. There, amidst the shadows and echoes of Neltharion's past deeds, Kazzara stands vigil, a testament to the perilous and often monstrous outcomes of Neltharion’s relentless pursuit of power and experimentation.
Kazzara, the Hellforged Abilities
1. Hellsteel Carnage: Kazzara’s powerful elementium plates are critical to maintaining the integrity of her volatile core. When her health drops to 80%, 60%, and 40%, these plates shatter into Hellsteel Fragments, causing a catastrophic blast that deals 88,554 Shadowflame damage to all players.
- Infernal Heart: Kazzara's exposed core pulses with a molten heartbeat, dealing 11,807 Shadowflame damage to all players every 4 seconds. The frequency of this pulse increases as she loses more armor.
- Hellsteel Fragment: When Kazzara’s armor shatters, the fragments turn into blazing metal scraps, each dealing 147,590 Shadowflame damage within a 4-yard radius of their impact.
- Revenant's Blood: Kazzara’s grievous wounds spew masses of her lifeblood, dealing 118,072 Shadowflame damage within a 3-yard radius of each impact.
- Molten Scar: The scorched ground inflicts 53,164 Shadowflame damage every 1 second to players standing within the effect.
2. Dread Rifts: Kazzara releases a furious roar, marking several players with a burning mark. After 5 seconds, these marks erupt into unworldly rifts beneath the players, dealing 82,650 Shadowflame damage within a 5-yard radius. For each piece of armor shattered, an additional player is targeted.
- Riftburn: The searing heat from the Dread Rift inflicts 59,029 Shadowflame damage every 1 second to players standing within the effect.
3. Rays of Anguish: Kazzara summons fragments of blazing energy from Dread Rifts. These fragments blast out in blistering beams, hunting nearby players and leaving a Molten Scar in their wake. Contact with the beam inflicts 73,795 Shadowflame damage every 0.3 seconds.
4. Hellbeam: Upon reaching 100 energy, Kazzara unleashes an annihilating beam from her jaws, dealing 132,831 Shadowflame damage every 0.3 seconds for 3 seconds to players caught inside. The superheated breath also inflicts an additional 5,904 Shadowflame damage every 0.3 seconds to all players. As her armor shatters, she disgorges increasing amounts of Revenant's Blood.
5. Wings of Extinction: Kazzara thrashes her fiery wings, dealing 73,795 Shadowflame damage to all players and pushing them away. The lingering flames inflict an additional 17,711 Shadowflame damage every 2 seconds for 20 seconds.
6. Terror Claws: Kazzara lacerates her target, dealing 442,769 Physical damage and 147,590 Shadowflame damage. The resulting charred gashes inflict 35,477 Shadowflame damage every 1 second and increase damage taken from subsequent Terror Claws by 200% for 25 seconds.
Tips and Strategy
As combat unfolds, Kazzara tears open Dread Rifts from which Rays of Anguish will form to hunt players. At 80%, 60%, and 40% health remaining, plates of Kazzara's menacing armor are shattered off during Hellsteel Carnage, intensifying her Infernal Heart.
