The caches from the Hurricane map modifier in ARC Raiders have become one of the most profitable activities if your goal is to obtain resources such as ammunition, blueprints, grenades, healing items, shields, quick-use items, weapons, and weapon attachments. Although they were nerfed, they are still worth farming. For this reason, we will rank the best maps and zones to farm these First Wave caches and help you obtain those blueprints you’re looking for.

What is Hurricane Event?

The Hurricane event is only available on 4 out of the 5 current maps in the game. During this event, strong winds significantly reduce visibility, distort environmental sounds, and hinder movement, making it more difficult to locate the caches.
However, the most important aspect is sound: these caches emit a very distinctive noise or beeping that you can hear when you’re nearby. This will be your main point of reference, as spotting them visually is quite challenging.
Dam Battlegrounds

Dam Battlegrounds is, without a doubt, the best map for farming these First Wave caches. It’s one of the two maps where you’ll find the highest number of caches spread across the playable area. This is also where you’ll encounter the most players with the same objective as you; they’re usually friendly, but don’t let your guard down many won’t hesitate to take you out the moment you turn your back to claim everything you’ve gathered in that run.
There’s a very specific area that should always be your top priority. In each run, you can find between 5 and 8 caches, meaning you could complete around 5 to 7 runs per hour. That said, it’s important to join raids that are just starting, since if you enter one that’s already in progress, chances are most of the caches will have already been looted.

The Blue Gate
Another great map full of caches where, rather than focusing on a single area, the ideal approach is to follow a route to farm as many First Wave Caches as possible, since they are more spread out across the map.
Here, the main dangers are the ARCs; it’s quite common to run into more than one Rocketeer along the way, not to mention the possibility of encountering other hostile raiders. Although this route covers almost the entire map, my recommendation is to extract once you reach the halfway point, as it’s very likely that the remaining caches will have already been looted.

Buried City

Buried City is the worst map for farming caches. It has the lowest number of them, and they are spread out across the entire area. The route here is very simple you just need to move around the outskirts of the map to find them.
Since it’s the least competitive map, you’ll encounter fewer raiders with the same objective, which means you’ll often come across many unopened caches.

Spaceport

Spaceport is the last map where you can find these caches. It’s a decent option for farming First Wave Caches, although it comes with some challenges. Most of the route takes place in open areas with few nearby buildings for cover, which makes it more difficult if you run into one or two ARCs.
Combined with the deafening sound of hurricane winds and the low visibility, it’s very likely that by the time you detect an enemy, they’ll already be right on top of you so you need to stay alert at all times.

Tips
To farm these caches more efficiently, follow these tips to optimize your routes:
- Avoid carrying the shield equipped: You can keep it in your inventory, but never use it during the Hurricane event, as it will wear out quickly. Also, while equipped, you will be very visible from a distance.
- Carry more than 2 stacks of adrenaline: Your goal in these runs is always to reach the caches before others, so you should keep moving constantly to optimize your time.
- Use ziplines only if you know the route well: Some routes allow you to place ziplines to increase mobility, but this is only recommended if you know the map in detail and know where to place them, as creating too many can be a significant rope resource expense.
- Increase the game’s sound effects volume: This will help you hear the caches’ beeping more clearly and locate them faster.
- Check the exact event schedules: To know when the Hurricane starts on each map, you can visit HEREE!!
