Since the launch of the Fairy Event in Grow a Garden, players have been focused on two high-value rewards: the legendary pet Cocatrice and the coveted Wispwing, the first plant with an animation. In this blog, we will dive deeper into each of the two most outstanding rewards from the Fairy Event.

Best of the Fairy Event

The Fairy Event brought plenty of rewards for player gameplay, as is usual in every event, but this time both the rarest pet and the plant with a 0.5% drop rate are the ones that will contribute the most to your account. On one hand, we have the Cockatrice, which has the potential to become one of the best pets thanks to its multiple uses, and on the other hand, the Wispwing, which if you manage to obtain it will undoubtedly earn you large amounts of Sheckles.

Cockatrice

The Cockatrice is a pet added during the Fairy Event, being the rarest pet of the entire event. It resembles a brown rooster with dragon-style green wings. It has a yellow segment on its neck, a black crest on its back, a green belly, yellow legs, and a dragon-like tail with black spikes. This design faithfully represents the mythological creature, evoking a mix between a rooster and a wyvern. This pet can only be obtained from the Enchanted Egg, which is a reward for participating in the Fairy Event.

Abilities

This new pet possesses two very powerful passive abilities:

- Silver Screech: Every 1,000 to 400 seconds, it emits a screech that has between a 20% and 40% chance to mutate fruits within a 20–40 tile radius into their Silver version, and a 1–3% chance to turn them into Gold.

- Venom Spit: Every 625 to 180 seconds, it spits venom at 5 to 10 fruits, eggs, or pets. This applies the Toxic mutation to fruits, accelerates eggs by 80–150 seconds, and grants 800–1500 XP to the affected pets.

Importance

The Cockatrice stands out as one of the few pets capable of applying the Gold mutation, as well as the very first to apply the Silver mutation to our plants. Additionally, it has other uses such as significantly reducing egg cooldowns and granting valuable experience to our pets.

Wispwing

The Wispwing is a divine plant with only a 0.5% drop rate from Enchanted Seed Packs. Its appearance is striking: a brown stem covered in leaves that supports wings fluttering like those of a butterfly, with a luminous glow at the base. These animated wings continue to flap even after being harvested.

Probability, Value, and Weight

- Drop rate: 0.5%, extremely low.

- Base price: approx. 162,000 Sheckles.

- Average price: around 180,000 Sheckles.

- Minimum weight: 9.5 kg.

These factors make it one of the most valuable plants in the game, both for profitability and for decorating your garden.
