How to Get Steel Springs Easily in ARC Raiders

In ARC Raiders, one of the most common mistakes new players make is selling or ignoring green-tier items without realizing their true value. Later on, they hit a wall when trying to craft upgrades or weapons.

One of the biggest offenders? Steel Springs a core crafting material that many players overlook. They might seem basic at first glance, but they’re absolutely critical for progression and high-tier crafting.

In this guide, I’ll show you how to farm springs efficiently, which items you should prioritize, where to find them, and the best routes to maximize every single raid.

Why Are Steel Springs So Important in ARC Raiders?

Steel Springs are an uncommon crafting material that mainly appears in industrial areas across any map. They play a key role in multiple crafting systems, especially during the mid and late game.

They are used to:

• Craft mod components in the refiner
• Build attachments for many weapons
• Create advanced mechanical components
• Upgrade weapons and gear

Because of this, they often become a major bottleneck if you don’t know how to farm them efficiently.

Best Way to Get Steel Spring

The most consistent way to obtain Steel Spring is through recycling Rusted Tools, since even if it sounds a bit strange, it is more consistent to get more Rusted Tools than Steel Spring during farming routes. These Rusted Tools are much more common than Steel Springs and are often ignored by a large portion of players, although they won’t be the only thing we will collect during our farming routes.

Priority Materials

Items you should prioritize if your goal is to get the majority of Steel Spring:

• Magnetron (Stella Montis)
• Turbo Pump
• Cooling coil
• Spring cushion
• Ruined accordion
• Rusted tools

Note: Steel Springs can only be obtained if you recycle the other materials in Speranza; if you do it during a raid, you may lose them. The only exception to this rule is the Turbo Pump, which will give you Steel Springs if you recycle it during a raid.

Where to Find Steel Springs?

Without a doubt, the best map to farm Steel Springs (Rusted Tools) is in Dam Battlegrounds. Here you’ll find the highest concentration of industrial and mechanical zones, which are your top priority for obtaining the materials you’re looking for.

Red Zones

• Power Generation Complex

• Controlled Access Zone

• Hydroponic Dome Complex

• Water Treatment Control

• Research & Administration

• Scrapyard

What Should You Loot in These Areas?

You should focus on looting:

• Buses
• Cars
• Metal containers
• Industrial drawers
• Shelves
• Industrial carts
• Backpacks
• Electrical boxes
• Control panels

You can try farming on other maps, and you’ll still get plenty of Steel Springs, but without a doubt, Dam Battlegrounds is where you’ll have the best results.

At first, you might get lost in the corridors if you’re not very experienced with the map, but the amount of Rusted Tools you can gather per run is quite high.

On top of that, your spawn location doesn’t matter much since there are multiple areas where you can loot what we’re looking for, you’ll almost always spawn near one of them.
