Level 1-5: Making Arrow Shafts

To begin, buy some logs from the Grand Exchange or chop them yourself.

Use a knife on the logs to create arrow shafts. You'll get 5 experience per log.

Level 5-10: Making Shortbows

Buy or cut more logs from trees.

Use the logs with a knife to make shortbows. This grants 5 experience per bow or approximately 8,500 fletching experience per hour or 12,250 per hour stringing.

Level 10-20: Making Longbows

Buy or cut more logs from trees.

Use the logs with a knife to make longbows. This grants 5 experience per bow or approximately 17,000 fletching experience per hour or 24,500 per hour stringing.

Level 20-25: Oak Shortbows

Cut oak logs or buy them.

Fletch the oak logs into oak shortbows for 16.5 experience each or approximately 28,050 fletching experience per hour or 40,425 per hour stringing.

Level 25-35: Oak Longbows

Continue making oak logs into oak longbows for 25 experience per bow or approximately 42,500 fletching experience per hour or 61,250 per hour stringing.

Level 35-40: Willow Shortbows

Acquire willow logs, either by purchasing them or chopping willow trees.

Fletch the willow logs into willow shortbows, earning 33.33 experience per bow or approximately 56,525 fletching experience per hour or 81,462 per hour stringing.

Level 40-50: Willow Longbows

Acquire willow logs, either by purchasing them or chopping willow trees.

Fletch the willow logs into willow longbows, earning 41.5 experience per bow or approximately 70,550 fletching experience per hour or 70,550 per hour stringing.

Level 50-55: Maple Shortbows

Get maple logs and knife them into unstrung maple shortbows.

String the unstrung maple shortbows with a bowstring (buy or make them from flax) to complete them and earn 50 experience per bow or approximately 85,000 fletching experience per hour or 122,500 per hour stringing.

Level 55-65: Maple Longbows

Continue making maple logs into unstrung maple shortbows.

String the unstrung maple shortbows with a bowstring to complete them for 58.3 experience each or approximately 99,000 fletching experience per hour or 142,700 per hour stringing.

Level 65-70: Yew Shortbows

Acquire yew logs, either by purchasing them or cutting yew trees.

Fletch the yew logs into unstrung yew longbows.

String the unstrung yew shortbows with a bowstring for 67.5 experience per bow or approximately 99,000 fletching experience per hour or 165,375 per hour stringing.

Level 70-80: Yew Longbows

Acquire yew logs, either by purchasing them or cutting yew trees.

Fletch the yew logs into unstrung yew longbows.

String the unstrung yew longbows with a bowstring for 75 experience per bow or approximately 127,000 fletching experience per hour or 183,750 per hour stringing.

Level 80-85: Magic Shortbows

Continue making magic logs into unstrung magic shortbows.

String the unstrung magic shortbows with a bowstring for 83.3 experience per bow or approximately 141,000 fletching experience per hour or 203,350 per hour stringing.

Level 85-99: Magic Longbows

Get magic logs and knife them into unstrung magic longbows.

String the unstrung magic longbows with a bowstring for 91.5 experience per bow or approximately 155,000 fletching experience per hour or 224,175 per hour stringing.

Optional: Level 52-99: Broad Arrows

Players have the option to access the Expanded Fletching skill for 300 Slayers points (Broader Fletching), which will enable them to craft their own broad arrows. you unlock the ability to fletch Broad Arrows. This method provides a decent profit and good experience.

Fletch Broad Arrowheads from Broad Arrowhead Tips, which requires 52 Fletching.

Attach the Broad Arrowheads to Headless Arrows, made by using Feathers on Arrow Shafts.

You'll earn 150 experience per set of 15. Equating to approximately 400,000+ experience per hour.

Other Zero Time Methods:

Fletching Darts:

Fletching darts is considered one of the fastest methods of training fletching, however expensive at later levels. This along side the buy limit really prevents this method from being feasible unless players are able to buy the materials in bulk. Fletching Bolts:

Much like fletching darts, fletching bolts is another very quick method of training your fletching in Old School RuneScape and if done correctly, can actually produce a profit albeit smaller than fletching bows. Players should note that the buy limit with these similarly will prevent you from producing large quantities of experience at once unless the player is able to find a bulk seller. Semi-Zero Time Methods:

Arrows:

Fletching arrows (especially for iron accounts) can be incredibly fast if you have plenty of leftover arrowheads from PvM and skilling. These typically range anywhere from 40,000 experience per hour at level 1 all the way to 600,000+ experience per hour at 82 Fletching making this a good method to do while training other skills or just relaxing. Cutting your own logs can save money but is more time-consuming.

It's a good idea to alternate between Shortbows and Longbows to maintain variety in your training.
