How to obtain the Dark bow

Players have the opportunity to acquire the dark bow as a drop from dark beasts and their superior variant, night beasts. Dark beasts are monsters that require 90 Slayer to kill, and are found in the Mourner Tunnels as well as in Iorwerth Dungeon in Prifddinas.

Special Attack and Stats

The dark bow boasts a distinctive special attack that consists of two different attacks, both of which consume 55% of the player's special attack energy.

The first special attack, known as Descent of Darkness, has the capacity to deal up to 30% more damage, with a minimum of 5 damage per arrow. The animation accompanying this attack depicts two arrows fired at the target, enveloped in a black shroud.

In the event that the player has equipped dragon arrows, the second special attack, Descent of Dragons, comes into play. This attack delivers even more significant damage, with an increase of up to 50%, and a minimum of 8 damage per arrow. However, the maximum hit is capped at 48 damage per arrow. The animation for this attack features two black dragon heads being launched at the target.

Following a Descent of Dragons attack, a standard damage roll is executed up to the player's maximum Ranged hit. Any rolls that surpass the damage cap are then reduced back to 48. It's noteworthy that the minimum damage of 8 can still be affected by damage multipliers on specific monsters. For instance, the damage is lowered to a minimum of 2 damage per arrow when targeting an Ice Demon, or a minimum (and maximum) of 0 damage per arrow when facing a Guardian in the Chambers of Xeric.
