Gargoyle Money Making Guide OSRS

Gargoyles, fearsome creatures of the Slayer Tower's top floor and basement, pose a challenge that only seasoned adventurers with 75 Slayer can tackle. If you're not on a Gargoyle Slayer task, attempting to attack them will be thwarted by Raulyn, who bars your way.

To defeat a gargoyle, one must use specialized tools. When their Hitpoints dwindle to 8 or lower, employing a rock hammer, rock thrownhammer, or granite hammer is essential. In the absence of these tools, victory remains elusive. However, the "Gargoyle Smasher" perk, purchasable from Slayer Masters for 120 Slayer points, automates this process, obliterating the gargoyle at 9 or fewer Hitpoints, provided you possess a suitable hammer. The granite hammer streamlines this further, smashing the creatures when equipped.

Locations

Gargoyles are exclusively located within the Slayer Tower. While on a Slayer task, you can encounter them in the basement. However, if you wish to engage them when not on a task, you'll need to head to the top floor of the Slayer Tower.

To swiftly access the Slayer Tower, consider utilizing the following expedient travel methods:

  • Slayer Ring Teleport to Entrance: Employ a Slayer ring's teleport option to arrive directly at the entrance of the Slayer Tower.

What are gargoyles weaknesses?

Gargoyles exhibit a vulnerability to crush weapons, which is the reason for the inclusion of the Inquisitor’s Mace in the optimal gear setup. Alternately, crush weapons like the Abyssal Bludgeon can also be effective choices.

To facilitate a more convenient approach, the "Gargoyle Smasher" perk can be obtained by expending 120 slayer points with any slayer master. However, it's important to note that even with this perk, the presence of a rock hammer or its equivalent in your inventory remains essential. This strategy is particularly advantageous for enhancing the AFK potential during gargoyle tasks.

Gargoyles average profit per hour?

The profit rate assumes 150 kills per hour. Your actual profits may be higher or lower depending on your speed and luck.

Killing gargoyles could bring in a steady income while AFK'ing when wearing the full set of Guthan's armour. Gargoyles have a chance to drop granite mauls and dark mystic tops.

Depending on luck, methods and stats, expect anywhere from 200,000 and 600,000. If using the shortcut by the crawling hands, which requires 61 Agility, make sure you wear a Slayer helm or nose peg so that the aggressive aberrant spectres don't drain your stats as you pass by. A good method if not on task is to wear the nosepeg, as it is cheap and you can drop it once you get to the gargoyles to make room for more drops. You can switch to your regular gear once you reach the gargoyles.

Although 70 Attack and Strength will suffice at the expense of slower kills, it is strongly recommended to possess at least 82 Defence if you wish to sustain if using the AFK Guthan's method. Also, bear in mind that gargoyles are weak to crush, but if you only want Defence experience, you have to use the block style, which is stab with Guthan's warspear. The Dragon battleaxe special can be used to boost up Strength.
