How to get them

Goldsmith Gauntlets are one of the possible rewards from the "Family Crest" quest, alongside Chaos gauntlets and Cooking gauntlets. To acquire the Goldsmith Gauntlets, follow these steps:

1. Complete the Family Crest Quest: Before obtaining the Goldsmith Gauntlets, you need to complete the "Family Crest" quest. This quest involves various tasks and interactions with NPCs. 2. Steel Gauntlets and Coins: After completing the quest, you receive steel gauntlets. To upgrade them to Goldsmith Gauntlets, take the magical steel gauntlets (and 25,000 coins, if they are still steel) to Avan. You can find Avan in the Al Kharid mine.

3. Transformation Process: Give your steel gauntlets to Avan. He will use a small hammer to reshape them into Goldsmith Gauntlets. As the transformation occurs, you'll see the message: "Avan takes your gauntlets, takes out a small hammer, and pounds them into a slightly new shape, then hands them to you."

4. Enhanced Smelting Experience: With the Goldsmith Gauntlets equipped, you'll experience a notable increase in the experience gained from smelting gold ore into gold bars. This boost raises the experience from 22.5 to 56.2, approximately 2.5 times the regular amount without the gauntlets.

5. Superheat Item Spell: Additionally, when casting the Superheat Item spell on a gold ore while wearing the gauntlets, you'll receive 56.2 Smithing experience and 53 Magic experience.

You can own multiple forms of the Family Crest gauntlets simultaneously, including Goldsmith Gauntlets, offering versatility in your skill training approach.
