OSRS - How to Complete the Halloween 2025 Event

One of the most anticipated events of the year is finally here: the Halloween 2025 event has officially begun in OSRS. This event comes with a fun storyline and cosmetic rewards. Whether you're new or just don’t want to miss any details, this guide will take you step by step through everything you need to do to complete the event and claim all the rewards.

Start of the Event

Everything begins at Fred the Farmer’s house, located in Lumbridge, a place most players are already familiar with. When the event starts, you’ll need to approach Fred and talk to him about the Halloween event.

Fred will explain that Death is organizing a big Halloween decoration event for 2025 within the game. Fascinated by the idea, Fred decides to join in and asks for your help to collect a series of items that he’ll use to decorate his house. Your mission will be to help him gather them.

His initial decoration is quite simple, but by the end of the event, you’ll see how it completely transforms thanks to the items you’ve collected.

First Objective

After accepting the mission, you’ll need to go and talk to Seth Groats Farm about the Halloween event. He’s located on the east side of the Lumbridge River. Once your conversation with him ends, he’ll give you a painting, which will be the first item you need.

Second Objective

The next step will take you to Falador, where you’ll need to find Sara and talk to her about the Halloween event. She’ll ask you to perform a rather peculiar task: go out to her field with the cows and use the “Dance” emote until the cows respond with a “moo.”

Once that’s done, go back and talk to Sara again, and she’ll reward you with a scarecrow, the second item needed for Fred’s Halloween decoration.

Third Objective

The third item can be found in Draynor Manor, specifically inside the haunted mansion. You can get there either by using an Amulet of Glory and walking north or by using a teleport tablet to “Draynor Manor.”

Once inside, look for a haunted chair and pick it up. Doing so will add it to your inventory as the third required item.

With that, you’ll now have three of the items Fred needs to decorate his house.

Fourth Objective

Return to Lumbridge using whichever teleport option works best for you. Once there, head to the cemetery nearby to enter Death’s domain.

When you speak with Death, you’ll be given a small Halloween-themed quiz with several questions. Here are the correct answers so you don’t get any wrong:

1- 31st October

2- Pumpkins

3- A coven

4- Dark Wizards, south of Varrock

5- Trick or Treat

Once you answer all the questions correctly, Death will give you the final item needed to complete Fred’s Halloween decoration.

Item Delivery and Visit to Diango

With all the items collected, return to Fred in Lumbridge. Talk to him and select option number one to hand over the items. After that, he’ll ask you to visit Diango to obtain a special lantern.

Use your Amulet of Glory to teleport to Draynor Village, find Diango, and talk to him. Simply choose the dialogue option “Talk about the Halloween event.” This will open an interface showing items from previous Halloween events, even if you haven’t completed those events before.

There, you’ll need to take three old Halloween items (such as boots, gloves, or accessories), equip them, and then talk to Diango again. After that, he will give you the Spooky Lantern, which you must equip before returning to Fred.

Once you’re back with Fred and have the Spooky Lantern equipped, talk to him to complete the 2025 Halloween event.
