OSRS - New Prayer Potion for Ironman

With the addition of Varlamore, there is a "cheap" alternative that is very easy to obtain, yet few people seem to know about it. It only takes a bit of effort to acquire it first... The only requirements for this are that you reach level 75 in Hunter and have access to Varlamore, which requires completing the "Children of the Sun" quest. The former may seem quite high, but the grind isn't too bad when you actually make use of the region's features. Hunter is quite fast in general, at least up to level 80. In short, this level unlocks the ability to catch Moonlight Moths. These are stored in butterfly jars and give you around 20 prayer points when released.

On top of that, you can add any type of raw hunter meat that you get from certain creatures to a jarred moth to create a Moonlight Moth Mix, which gives it two uses instead of one! It's basically a 2-dose prayer potion that requires far less effort and money (literally just buying reusable jars for 1-2 gp) to obtain if you have the level for it.

Why use Moonlight moth mix instead of Prayer Potions?

There are a few reasons why Moonlight moth mix are a good alternative to prayer potions. First, they are much easier to obtain. All you have to do is catch some Moonlight Moths and then convert them into Moonlight Moth Mixtures. This is much easier than farming herbs and then making prayer potions.

Where Do You Catch Moonlight Moths?

Some of you may not even have explored this region yet, you will find the Hunter's Guild a little southwest of Civitas Illa Fortis in Varlamore. Accessing it requires a level 46 hunter and will unlock the “Hunter Rumors” activity, which you should do if you plan to catch moths.

Catching Moonlight Moths

Catching moonlight moths is an easy way to get free prayer potions. All you need is a butterfly net and some butterfly jars. You can buy jars from Imia, who is a trader at the far north end of the guild.

Once you have your supplies, head to the Hunter's Guild and start catching moonlight moths. Moonlight moths are found on the lower floor of the guild.
The guild has a bank in the east corner, so you can easily go downstairs to get an inventory full of moonlight moths and then deposit them upstairs. With how quickly they respawn, you can get hundreds in a short amount of time.

Creation

To craft your new prayer potions, you will need to have a mortar and pestle in your inventory along with 13 moonlight moths and 13 hunter meat of any kind. Combine them and wait for all the mixtures to prepare, store them, and repeat until you are finished!

For the Moonlight Moth Mix, you will need Hunter Meats. Don't worry about the difficulty, there are many available. Choose the one that is closest at hand and continue with the process.
