The Zen Event is now live in Grow a Garden, bringing with it a wave of exciting new content that no player will want to miss. From legendary pets like the Kitsune to new seeds, accessories, and special boxes there’s something for everyone.

However, unlocking all of this content requires a new in-game currency: Chi Tokens.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through exactly how the event works and how to easily earn Chi by optimizing the plants you should have in your garden.

How Does the Zen Event Work?

The Zen Event appears once every hour and activates automatically in your garden. When it begins, the special event character the Zen Channeller starts releasing blue auras that fall over the plants in your garden and those of other players. These auras trigger a special mutation in the fruits called “Tranquil.” This mutation is essential for participating in the event.

Once you have fruits with the Tranquil mutation, you’ll need to deliver them to the NPC at the event shop to receive Chi Tokens, which you can then exchange for all kinds of exclusive event items. Among the available rewards are:

- A new mystical egg that contains the Kitsune, currently considered the best pet in the game.

- A new seed pack with unique plant species.

- Accessory boxes filled with rare cosmetic items.

- More exclusive seeds.

How to Earn Chi Quickly

The trick to progressing quickly in this event is simple: plant high-rarity seeds, since each type of fruit will grant you a different amount of Chi depending on its level. Here's the full value chart:

Additionally, if you submit fruits grown from Golden or Rainbow seeds, you'll receive a bonus:

- Golden: +2 extra Chi

- Rainbow: +4 extra Chi

This means that if you, for example, submit a Prismatic fruit from a Rainbow seed, you could earn up to 11 Chi from a single fruit.

Which Seeds Are Best for the Event?

This is where the difference is made between players who progress quickly and those who fall behind. The key is to plant seeds that not only produce high-rarity fruits, but also yield a large number of fruits per plant. Both of the following seed types can be obtained directly from the in-game shop.
