If you’re just getting started in ARC Raiders or coming back after a recent wipe, one of the first stations you should focus on is the Gunsmith. Leveling up this workbench gives you access to crafting nearly every weapon in the game, which is a huge advantage in the Topside whether you’re fighting ARC machines in PvE or going head-to-head with other players in PvP. In this guide, I’ll show you the fastest way to gather all the materials you need to get your Gunsmith to Level 3 as quickly as possible.

Where to Get All Materials for the Workshop Station Gunsmith

For this farm route, we’ll be heading back to ARC Raiders, specifically to the Stella Montis map and the Loading Bay area. Just like in our Rusted Gear farming guide, the main focus here will be looting the Control Panels located inside the Logistics Admin Room. You should also keep an eye out for Green Container Drawers scattered around the area. Once you’re done looting, there’s a nearby Metro extraction point you can use to leave safely, although you can still loot the rest of the area if you want extra materials.

This route is great for farming:
- Metal Parts
- Rubber Parts
- Mechanical Components
- Rusted Tools
- Rusted Gear
- Advanced Mechanical Components
Now, for the last two materials you still need, things work a little differently.
To get Wasp Drivers, you’ll need to head to either Bluegate or Riven Tides and hunt down ARC Wasps, since they’re the enemies that drop them. You can technically find them around Loading Bay as well, but I wouldn’t recommend farming there because the area is often guarded by a Bastion or a Vaporizer.
As for Sentinel Fire Cores, you can check out our How to Get Sentinel Fire Core full guide on where to farm them, but the short version is this: you’ll want to wait for the Hurricane event to become active. During this event, ARC Sentinels spawn much more frequently, and they have a guaranteed chance to drop Sentinel Fire Cores. Another option is farming ARC Couriers, whose locations are covered in our Turbine Compressor guide, although their drops are not guaranteed.
