Best Way to Get Great Mullein in ARC Raiders

In ARC Raiders there are materials that many new players tend to overlook, but that actually end up being essential for progressing and staying well equipped in every raid. One of them is Great Mullein, an uncommon resource you’ve probably seen dozens of times while exploring the map without really paying much attention to it. And trust me, sooner or later you’re going to need a lot of this material.

In this guide, I’ll show you how to get up to 100 Great Mullein in 30 minutes or even less by using a simple and efficient farming route without wasting time.

Why Are Great Mullein Important?

Great Mullein is the main material used to craft almost every healing item in the game, such as the Herbal Bandage and Antiseptic. The latter is also required to craft even more important consumables like the Sterilized Bandage, Vita Shot, and Vita Spray.

Basically, we’re talking about one of the most important resources for surviving in the Topside, whether you’re a PvE-focused player or someone who spends most of their time fighting other players. Sooner or later, you’re going to need large amounts of Great Mullein, which is why keeping a good stockpile in your stash is always a smart idea.

You can also recycle it to get seeds in case of an emergency, although that’s more of a last resort when you really need it.

The Best Way to Get Great Mullein in ARC Raiders

For this, we’re going to head over to Bluegate, the best map for farming Great Mullein quickly and consistently. More specifically, the area we’re interested in is Trappers Glade, a zone filled with trees, plants, and dense vegetation, exactly what we need to find this material in large amounts.

The idea here is pretty simple: move around the entire area while searching for these plants without letting your guard down against possible threats, whether it’s ARCs or hostile Raiders nearby. Over time, you’ll become more familiar with the area, making your farming runs much more efficient and filling your backpack with Great Mullein in no time.

Another great thing about this area is that you have two extraction options very close by, a hatch and an elevator, which makes farming runs much faster and safer.

Raider Refuge

The biggest threat you’ll encounter in the area is a Bombardier, which you’ll obviously want to avoid or take down if you’re well geared enough. What I usually do is start by collecting all the Great Mullein that’s farther away from the Raider Refuge, since this is the area where the Bombardier and its sentries usually roam.

Tip: It’s highly recommended to do this farming run during the Lush Blooms map modifier, since it significantly increases the spawn rate of natural resources like Great Mullein.

Recommended Loadout

My recommendation is to come prepared for the basic without risking too much unnecessary gear. Bring a weapon capable of taking down ARCs easily, like an Anvil, and another weapon you can use to defend yourself if you run into other Raiders during the match.

Note: It’s highly recommended to leave PvP lobbies if you want to farm more peacefully, since Bluegate is usually packed with players looking for fights against other players.
