Grow a Garden - Get the Secret Pet Rudolph

We are officially in the second part of the Grow a Garden Christmas update. This phase of the event not only adds more content than the first one, but also introduces new gifts, new mechanics, new pets, and what we will be talking about today a secret pet that can only be obtained if we meet certain requirements to summon it.

In this blog, I will explain step by step how to get Red-Nosed Reindeer (Rudolph), what the exact requirements are, of course what abilities Rudolph has, and why it is one of the most valuable pets of the entire Christmas event.

The Secret Pet: Rudolph

Unlike the rest of the Christmas pets, Rudolph does not appear in the list of available pets. If you check the event details, you will see pets such as:

- Turtle Dove
- Reindeer
- Nutcracker
- Yeti
- Ice Golem

However, Rudolph does not appear anywhere. You won’t see it in the shop, you won’t find it in the eggs, and it doesn’t appear as a direct reward. This is because Rudolph is a secret pet, designed for players who are willing to go one step further during the event.

Obtaining Rudolph is tied to a special and intentional ritual, which directly references the classic story of Santa Claus and his sleigh.

The Concept Behind Rudolph and the Secret Ritual

As we all know, Rudolph is the reindeer that guides Santa’s sleigh. Grow a Garden takes this idea and turns it into a game mechanic.

To summon Rudolph, you will need to gather eight reindeer. Not one, not four, not seven exactly eight reindeer, all of which are part of the Christmas update.

These reindeer can be obtained from the event eggs, and the good news is that the chance of getting a reindeer is quite high.

Requirements to Summon Rudolph

Eight Reindeer at Level 100

The first thing you need in order to obtain the secret pet is to have 8 Reindeer in your garden at level 100 for the ritual to work. They cannot be level 50, 80, or 90—the exact required level is 100 to be able to summon Rudolph.

The Sleigh

In addition to having eight reindeer at max level, you will need a special item: the Sleigh, which can be obtained from Santa’s Stash, so you must pay close attention when it is in stock.

The Sleigh is the item that activates the ritual, making it absolutely essential.

How the Sleigh and the Reindeer Counter Work

Once you have the sleigh, you must place it in your garden and interact with it. When you do, a message similar to the following will appear:

“The sleigh creaks softly. Eight fully trained reindeer are required to take flight.”

The sleigh has an internal counter that indicates how many valid reindeer you currently have.

Final Ritual Activation and Obtaining Rudolph

The summoning ritual is very simple and easy to perform. Once you finally obtain:

1. The Sleigh
2.  Eight reindeer at level 100

The sleigh’s counter will reach 8/8, and the summoning of Rudolph will automatically be unlocked.

At that moment, Rudolph will become part of your pets.

Rudolph Abilities

Rudolph is not only exclusive, but also a very powerful pet.

- Ability 1: Every 4 minutes, Rudolph grants 2,000 experience to a random pet in your garden that is not a reindeer, for each reindeer you have in your garden.

- Ability 2: Every 15 minutes, Rudolph applies the Ornamented mutation to random fruits in an amount equal to the number of reindeer in your garden.

This makes Rudolph one of the best pets for leveling up your other pets.
