The Grow a Garden Christmas Update Part 2 is now available and brings several major changes that completely transform how the holiday event is played. If you had already made progress in Part 1 or were saving resources, it’s essential that you read this complete guide, as many previous mechanics have been removed or radically changed.

In this blog, I’ll explain everything you need to know to complete the event efficiently, make the most of the new gifts, understand which items are worth it, discover which pets have arrived, and learn the best current strategy to progress quickly without wasting time.

Old Gifts No Longer Work

One of the most important changes is that old gifts no longer have any real use. If you try to use one of the gifts you had saved, you will only receive the usual normal rewards, with no connection to the current event.

This confirms something key:
The previous event has officially ended.

Now, all progress depends exclusively on the new Christmas gifts introduced in this update.

To obtain these gifts, you need to donate plants with Christmas mutations to the Elf’s House. However, this is where one of the most important items of the entire update comes into play.

What Is the Radar Used For?

The radar allows you to scan and collect only Christmas fruits from your garden, preventing you from wasting time collecting them one by one and avoiding harvesting plants that do not have a Christmas mutation.

This makes farming much faster and far more efficient.

The New Christmas Egg

As with every event, we have a new Egg that allows us to obtain the pets from the current update. In this case, the following pets are available:

Turtle Dove

Ability: Nearby Christmas-type plants within range have an increased variant chance!

Reindeer

Ability: Gains additional XP per second for every Reindeer in your garden!
Beast of Snow: Occasionally has a chance to mutate nearby fruits with Snowy!

Nutcracker

Ability: Occasionally cracks open a random Nutty-type fruit and grants a random reward! Ignores favorited fruit.

Yeti

Ability: Occasionally devours a fruit with at least 24 mutations to summon the Yeti Night weather! Ignores favorited fruit!

Ice Golem

Ability: Grants a chance for every pet mutation from the pet mutation pool to be one of four Ice Golem–exclusive pet mutations!
