The latest Grow a Garden update is now available, bringing with it a huge amount of content that promises to keep the community engaged for weeks. Among the most notable additions is the new Seed Evolution event, a completely revamped system that changes the way we cultivate and progress within the game. In this article, I’ll explain in detail how this new event works so you can make the most out of it.

The Seed Evolution

The autumn event is now behind us, and in its place comes an innovative system: the Seed Evolution. The main mechanic consists of planting new special seeds in your garden, growing them until they can evolve into more powerful versions, and repeating the process up to three times.

In the new event shop, which you can access by talking to the new NPC, you’ll find different types of seeds. Among the highlights are the Evo Pumpkin and the Evo Mushroom, considered some of the best options for evolution. Once you’ve purchased one of the four available seeds, follow these steps:

1.- Plant the seed in your garden.

2.- Feed it with recipes that can be crafted after unlocking the chef’s kit in the garden guide.

3.- Speed up its growth using watering cans or other special items.

4.- Wait for mutations to be applied in order to gain multipliers and additional upgrades.

5.- Harvest it and deliver it to evolve it to the next level.

Each evolution not only creates a higher-tier seed but also grants better rewards, such as the new Jungle Egg.

How to Feed and Speed Up Plant Growth

One of the most striking aspects of this event is the use of recipes to feed the plants. It’s no longer enough to just wait for them to grow; now you can prepare special meals that increase their size more quickly and improve their mutations.

To unlock the cooking option, players must complete the common missions from the garden guide, which grant the chef’s kit. From that point on, it becomes possible to prepare dishes and supply them to the evo plants.

On top of that, advanced and master watering cans can also be applied directly to speed up growth.

Note: Something that will help you a lot is having a Watering Can, since these greatly increase the growth multiplier of your evo plant.
