What is the function of the Crash Mat in ARC Raiders?

In simple terms, the Crash Mat acts like an air cushion that helps soften falls from great heights. It won’t completely save you from fall damage if you jump from extremely high up, but it will significantly reduce the impact and the damage you take. It’s a utility item that gives Raiders more freedom in how they approach their gameplay.

Keep in mind that it’s fairly small, so you’ll need to be precise if you don’t want to end up breaking both your legs.

Where to Get the Crash Mat Blueprint in ARC Raiders?

The Crash Mat Blueprint is an exclusive item from the new Riven Tides map, and it can only be found inside industrial containers. With that in mind, there’s a specific area on the map that really stands out because it’s packed with these types of containers from the classic Red Lockers and Yellow Tool Cabinets to Car Hoods. So, where exactly should you be heading?

Tennis Court

This is the first area I recommend if you spawn on that side of the map. You’ll find a solid number of containers here, but more importantly, there are blue lockers inside the locker rooms that tend to offer good loot.

Weighing Checkpoint

Without a doubt, this is the spot where you’ll find the highest number of industrial containers, which significantly boosts your chances of getting the Crash Mat Blueprint. My advice: don’t skip it. It’s packed with loot and definitely worth a thorough search.

Stacking Yard

Lastly, very close to Weighing Checkpoint, you’ll find this area filled with massive cranes. Here, you’ll come across three large buildings you can loot. That said, one of them requires a key to access the main room, and another will have you activating several buttons scattered around the area to gain entry.

How to Craft the Crash Mat in ARC Raiders?

To craft it, you’ll need to have your Utility Bench upgraded to level 2, along with two simple materials that you can refine using a level 1 Refining Bench:

Getting both is pretty straightforward. As long as you have a level 1 Refining Bench and the required materials, you’re good to go. For Durable Cloth, you’ll need 14× Fabric, while for Electrical Components, you’ll need 8× Plastic Parts and 4× Rubber Parts to put everything together.
